Refunds Policy



Faulty goods or goods shipped incorrectly (i.e. it’s our fault)

We will happily provide refunds to purchasers of goods that are faulty or shipped in error.

In the event of this occurring we will accept responsibility for all shipping charges as well as either replacing the item in question or providing a refund to the original purchaser.

Simply email our site to obtain a RA (return authorization) number, provide full details of your original order:
Order ID
Order date
Your name
Your email address
Indicate whether you want a replacement item or a refund
Reason(s) for the return
Add any comments you feel are needed

You must include the original shipping documents that you received with your original order. This will help us find your order to process the refund/return.

All refunds must be requested within 30 days of shipping.
Unwanted goods (i.e. not our fault, it’s just “one of those things”):

Whilst we strive to be accommodating we will not guarantee an automatic return on unwanted goods.

As a guiding principle if we can resell the goods and they are a commonly purchased item we will provide a refund. Equally, due to the nature of some specialty books it will not be possible to accept returns. It is entirely at our discretion to determine which category any requested return falls into.

In the event that we do agree to accept unwanted goods back you will be refunded your money less any postage charges involved.

All items must be returned must be in original condition and in their original packaging.

Once the return is accepted we will notify you via email and a refund will be credited against your original payment method.

Returns of items purchased with Gift Vouchers will be in the form of Napoleons of Sydney Gift Vouchers.
Returning a gift?

You'll receive a gift certificate for the value of your return, which can be used at any time toward your purchases at www.Napoleons.biz or in our store.

The gift certificate will be mailed to you at the same address to which the order was shipped.

As with unwanted goods the returned item must be in original condition and be an item we regularly sell. The determination of whether or not a refund will be provided is entirely at our discretion.

The value of the gift certificate will be the cost of the item less any postal charges.

Maximum Refund provided:

The maximum refund which will be provided is equal to the actual amount paid for the item (inc postage if the refund is due to our error). No refund will be made for any promotional discount or other price reduction.

In other words, the maximum refund is the amount you paid. Note that postage will not be refunded except in cases where the problem was due to our error or faulty goods being sent.
Packing and Sending Your Return

Just a few simple steps:

Pack the items along with the packing slip (receipt) securely in a box. Please ensure you use sufficient padding to avoid damage in transit.

All damaged goods remain your responsibility unless receipt was declined by you due to damage in transit. You can use the box the items arrived in or another box, if you prefer. To avoid disputes we recommend using Registered Mail. Affix the shipping label to the outside of the box.
Lost Your Packing Slip?

Don't worry! If you ordered the item yourself, you can still return it by contacting us. What if the item was given to you as a gift, and you don't have the packing slip or the order number? No problem. Enclose a separate sheet of paper noting the name and e-mail address of the person who purchased the gift, along with the reason for your return, and send the package to the appropriate address below:
